I dont need no stinking cap and gown!!!
I was just informed that I need to buy a cap and gown if I plan to attend either convocation and/or graduation or both. I am not sure how much it will be; however, for something that I am only going to wear once, I am sure it will seem expensive nonetheless.
Now, I am not bitching about having to spend more money on an item that, much like a prom dress, it loses its value once you take it off, tho I am guessing the sentimental value of such dress is much higher for a teenager in prom night than it is to me on graduation day. What I’d like to understand is why can’t you just order them online? why do they insist in making me go to the bookstore to purchase such items? I get raped buying anything from the bookstore regardless of whether or not I buy it online and/or at the store. Last time I checked gowns came on “one size fits all” and you can either get the “hey, I am normal size, I’ll fit into anything” or “hey I am a fatty, give me size fat” gowns! is the fit really what makes this such a critical purchase that it must be made at the bookstore?
Sometimes I just don’t get it.
