Category B jump done and completed successfully
Category B is cleared. I jumped yet again today, I was late as usual for my 9am appointment so I didnt jump until around 11am. There is alot of waiting around in the sport of skydiving. I was hella nervous about 3 hours before making the jump, I suppose it was the fear of not passing the level and/or making some stupid mistake. In retrospect, I cannot help but say that I had an uncharacteristic non chalant approach to my first jump; the second one was no different. Once I got to the drop zone, all the fear and anxiety went away and I just wanted to get up in the air and jump out of that plane!!!.
The second jump was very uneventful, it was basically a repeat of the first jump. I got to jump out of a different plane, I believe it is called a twin otter. The door is on the side rather than the back and it was definately different, but still really good. The only different thing I did in this jump was the introduction of forward movement. Holy crap what a fucking rush, talk about feeling the speed increase and knowing that you are falling way faster than 120 mph. I did two forward movements and then I decided to chill and enjoy the freefall. According to the instructor I had a really nice and stable freefall.
I cant wait to finish with my training, about another 18 more jumps and thousdands of dollars later hehehe. I am excited not only because after the training is over I get my class A license and I can jump wihout an instructor, but also because once training is over I get to jump with a ridicuosly special person. I cant wait to do some free flying with Christie and finally share something that we both enjoy in such an unaltered and clean environment, the sky!!. I am soooo in love, blue skies.
PS: for the record, I’d just like to make clear that my friends will probably never see me again uhmmm okay maybe once in a blue moon. It is not that I hate you guys, I’d rather be skydiving 🙂
It’s a bird…. it’s a plane…. it’s Super LG!!!
I didn’t even know you had a livejournal, let alone that you were sky diving..wtf…I’m in shock.
I dont use this thing very often. As far as skydiving goes, what can I say? I luv it!!! yeah its too bad I have to do things like work so that I can pay my bils, if I were a rich kid and didnt have to worry about anything I’d be skydiving fulltime.
Well eventually maybe you could get a job instructing on skydiving?
Where do you go to do the skydiving anyway? I’d really love to push my husband out of a plane. 😛
west point, va. http://www.skydivethepoint.com I wouldnt recommend going to this dropzone if your intent is to just shove your husband out of a plane with the result of the aftermath as his death. I suggest you go to http://www.skydiveorange.com for that kinda stuff. West point is entirely waaaay to safe a drop zone to accomplish such tasks 😛
I am going skydiving either this weekend or next weekend yay, and then I am leaving for Peru on july 29th and I wont be back in the states until August 30th yaaaay.
